Summertime vibes with a splash of darkness are the order of the day with Viral-Mental Records brand new 4-track single from the inimitable Uzi, with the release of the brand new 'Try Mon Si EP' out now.

Kicking things off with the infectiously uplifting, reggae tinged stepper, 'Happy Days', with it's catchy as hell, bouncy bass riff that'll be sure to put a smile on even the most sour-faced junglist out there. The EP's title track, and my own personal favourite, 'Try Mon Si' follows next and takes things in a more dubwise direction with it's combination of crisp breaks and heavy, skanking trumpet melody. A real smokers riddim!!!
For 'Distorator' takes us on a dark, drum & bass ride where sinister atmospherics do battle with a gritty breakbeat backing and immense, growling bass riff that evokes memories of late nineties techstep classics. To close things off Uzi delivers unto us a frenetic, rolling jungle number with 'Jah' complete with Rastafari vocals, scuttling beats and throbbing sub bass blasts complimented by soothing, descending pads.  

For his first full EP on Viral Mental Records, Uzi stamps his own identity across a varied range of styles, all of which will prove devastating in any upfront D&B set.
