The inimitable Rad Rod, Inner Minds Recordings label owner and one half of US jungle production team 2Brainz makes his debut on Wicked Jungle Records with the release of the 'Madness EP' featuring vocals from chanteuse Lily Garcia.

First off the listener is taken on a sliced and diced, amen break rollercoaster ride into the depths of 'Madness' where docu-dialogue gets twisted and manipulated to abstraction amongst  a scattering of disembodied rap vocal snippets and other sample miscellany. All layered over an intense breakbeat foundation and rumbling bassline which altogether perfectly underpins the 'insanity' of the theme.

A similar off-kilter approach is applied to 'Dark Desires', which blends familiar junglistic tropes with manic, breakcore percussive stylisms and darkly ominous sound FX. All accompanied by Lily Garcia's sultry vocal exclamations of 'dark' passion, which are then shredded and spliced together to create a heady and intoxicating blend.

With the 'Madness EP', Rad Rod delivers a solid package of well crafted, controlled chaos. Proving that there is plenty of room for a little bit of experimentalism in the jungle/drum & bass sphere. So don't be afraid to venture out of your comfort zone and get on this one!!!!
